History of Pixlies

Prologue[edit | edit source]
MickMMars was a regular player on Geographica in early/mid 2019. There was this staff member called Homeofmew† (sadly passed away due to the Corona Virus in 2021, god bless her soul) who was not a big fan of him. She would reguarly go into invisible mode and try to sabotage his nation, Iran, and in wars she and the rest of the staff would just be biased against him. After months of being harassed he decided to host his own server for 5€/mo on a small hoster and play with his friends almost the same concept that Geographica had, except for some little tweaks. Thats where Pixlies came to life. The name comes from Micks old YouTube channels name, einPixlie.
Pixlies had 3-4 players at that time, MickMMars, Skulli73, AhAko and MunchyGamers.

Pixlies v.0.1[edit | edit source]
Pixlies first version, 0.1, was fairly simple. It used the plugins Factions, Slimefun & Essentials. So the barebones of every geopol at that time. That was before Mick started coding his own plugins for Pixlies.
The server had 2GB of Ram, so it would crash from now and then, but overall it was very stable considering it had a peak of 10 players once. In the first Pixlies season, Mick invited all the people he knew from Geographica and considered his friends, including Skulli, Munchy and JanBond007 who were all still loyal to Geographica. Pixlies was more of a side thing that they would play from time to time since it was so chill on there.
One day, when Skulli posted Pixlies IP (pixlienetwork.minehoster.de at that time) in his Geographica Nation Discord, a Geographica staff named Toodlez sent it into Geographica staff chat, and the rest of the staff did not like the fact that there was a competetor, if you can call it that, since Pixlies was much smaller, so they joined Pixlies and immediately tried to find loopholes in the system. They eventually started a war against Micks nation, and since he was alone, he lost to them and also lost his whole nation.
About that time MeerBiene joined Pixlies, who Mick spent almost all day with for almost a year. They both eventually started to think how they could take Pixlies to the next level by enhancing it with custom plugins and ideas.
First Crysis[edit | edit source]
One month, Mick couldnt pay for the server, so he thought hed just rehost it once he has money again, but MeerBiene insisted on donating him money, so Mick accepted the kind offer. At that time there was also a player named Thomas_1234567 who was on good terms with MeerBiene and Meer would tell him a lot of stuff that would happen on Pixlies, since they both were the "older ones" considering Mick was 17 at that time.
Meer was frustrated with the fact that even though he donated to the server, Mick would be considered the owner and the man with "the last word": So he told Thomas a lot of things from the staff chat and show him screenshots of times when Mick became frustrated over things and started to take his power. Thomas then confronted Mick and called him the worst owner he has ever saw and Mick thought that Thomas had hacked the server and thats how he saw staff chat, since he couldnt believe that his best friend at that time, Meer, would ever betray him like that. After Mick banned Thomas for this action, Meer pretended like he also agreed on him, but his frustration with Mick grew over time since he would not let his true opinions out.
