Maurice, also simply known as TAMaurice, (* 06 Dec. 2005; Luxembourgian) is a player of Pixlies who has joined before Remastered.

Maurice is a self-described social-democrat and advocate of human rights and freedoms. He's best friends with angryfishstick1, their friendship having expanded beyond Pixlies.

Maurice's first nation, the Republic of Oregon, first put him on the world-stage. In his time on Pixlies, he made a lot of nations: Oregon, Massachusetts-Philippines, Virginia, the United States, Prussia and Québec in Remastered, France in Pixlies V and Spain in Pixlies X.

Pixlies Remastered

Maurice played all season long. He was Oregonian, Filipino, Massachusettsian, Polish, Prusso-German, Québecois and Nevada-Oregonian again.

The beginnings and the Republic of Oregon

Maurice joined Pixlies on December 15, 2020, exactly 3 days before the release of Pixlies Remastered. He founded the Republic of Oregon with the consent of its southern neighbor Nevada; this friendship was to prove particularly long-lasting and close. Oregon was co-founded on the day of release with Chomkii, who was looking for a new home after the spontaneous collapse of his previous nation. NeedlessMemeing and her friends like MattCobra and Maurice's friends like Ryder08 joined. Oregon, with its parliamentary democracy, proved unstable and suffered a civil war over government policy on December 30, which MattCobra and NeedlessMemeing won.

Republic of the Philippines and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts-Philippines

Maurice and the Social Democratic Party supporters, having lost the Civil War, fled to the Philippines, where they quickly entrenched themselves due to threats of war from the Oregon Republic (not to be confused with the Maurice Republic of Oregon). The Philippines quickly grew and established a base in Boston.

Later, the government moved its headquarters there. Diplomatic difficulties caused by YoramYo's undiplomatic statements to Europe plunged Massachusetts-Philippines again into a war with them that ended fatally.

Commonwealth of Virginia and the start of the US

Those who remained emigrated to Virginia, and Chomkii left to found his own nation in Indonesia. The Commonwealth of Virginia experienced tremendous economic growth and could afford to send settlers to colonize other states such as West Virginia and Kentucky. This rapid expansion encompassed the entire United States east of the Mississippi River, leading to the proclamation of the United States in Richmond, VA. The capital was moved to Washington, DC.

Thanks to a liberal settlement policy and a perceived pacification of Matt and the now-defunct Oregon Republic, they settled in the states around the Great Lakes. A merger with Union-Démocratie of Sleep brought even more resources to the states, making the United States the undisputed hegemon when opposition from Europe died out.

US constitutional crisis and defeat

The U.S., with its state tripartition, experienced its greatest and most serious constitutional crisis with an attempted impeachment of Maurice by sleep deprivation, which the Supreme Court declared unconstitutional. As a result of the turmoil, a, by Maurice and the Supreme Court considered illegal, second constitutional convention was called. Maurice would not put up with it any longer and threw Matt, Sleep and their supporters out. The U.S. had to retreat to the 13 original states as the population dwindled.

These thirteen united states would then be completely torn apart by Matt with the help of the African Union, previously led by U.S. ally South Africa which was couped by U.S. foe Niger. After this disastrous defeat, Maurice took several days off.

Poland-Lithuania and Duchy of Prussia

Maurice then fled to Poland-Lithuania, an amalgamation of Lithuania, which had been allied with the United States from the beginning, and an inactive Poland. In Poland-Lithuania, he rose to become Prince-Regent of the Crown of Poland-Lithuania thanks to his administrative and diplomatic skills. He expanded the Empire's borders to include St. Petersburg, Kiev, Crimea, the Carpathians, Poland to the Oder-Neisse line and the Baltic states, and then crowned himself Duke in Prussia, a vassal state of Poland from Lithuania with greater autonomy. Ryder08 was crowned Polish King by MegaVirusCreeper, King of the Commonwealth and Grand Duke of Lithuania, at the suggestion of Maurice to facilitate the administration of the Giant Empire.

The rise of Prussia and the fall of the old Pixlies

As Prince Regent of Poland-Lithuania and Duke of Prussia, Maurice sees his chance to take revenge on the African Kingdoms (formerly African Union) and creates the Historia Coalition, consisting of Poland-Lithuania, its dependent states, the Crown Princes of the African Kingdoms, and the victims of an African ultimatum, consisting of Historia of TomDaCarr and RJIsOasis. This coalition later succeeded and the African kingdoms were divided. Didas was crowned Emperor of Libya after becoming a double agent, and South Africa was restored.

The Kingdom in/of Prussia and its downfall

The Duchy of Prussia took possession of more and more lands, and after a debate with MegaVirusCreeper, the Duchy declared itself the Kingdom of Prussia and declared independence. This independence was confirmed by a duel with MegaVirusCreeper, who also resigned in favor of Ryder08, who was then crowned King of Poland and the Commonwealth, remaining Grand-Duke of Lithuania. Thus, Poland-Lithuania was effectively ruled by the same dynasty as Prussia, which now called itself the Kingdom of Prussia, having seized all of Prussia's lands in 1910.

Those who had now fallen from power then conspired together to take final revenge and decimated Königsberg, the capital of Prussia. To protect his kingdom, Maurice ceded it to a friend and fled to Quebec. Prussia would later join Quebec.

The Province of Québec and total domination

Co-founded with ExtractEntity, Québec grew at an unprecedented pace. Québec would take revenge on Sleep, the cause of the Königsberg massacre. In a series of three wars, the first one as revenge for Königsberg, the second as revenge for the massacres of Richmond and New York, the third one as revenge for his shenanigans in the United States, the nation of Sleep would be fully integrated into Québec and its nuclear capabilities seized. Québec would become the only active nation of the season for the rest of its existence.

The return to Oregon and the world war

After a series of inactivity problems, Maurice decided to dissolve Québec and cede it to Didas' Libya. He himself joined the United Counties, formerly Nevada, which always stood by him, and took possession of Oregon after its liberation. He assumed the office of Governor of Oregon and revived his first city, Portland.

When the end of Remastered was announced, the great final battle between the allies and KFC took place. The Allies consisted of Nevada/United Counties, South Africa, Adriatica, Libya and Finland, the KFC, consisted of Chomkiis Nation and older opponents. Maurice managed to win this final battle.

Pixlies V

In Pixlies V, Maurice formed France, generally seen as the blunder that was the Franco-Albanian War. After, he dissolved the Republic and declared the National Committee of Liberation, aka Free France and governed the rest of the season per decree as a military dictatorship.

Pixlies X

Maurice was the President of the Republic of Spain. He was a member of the Republican Left and only serving President.

During Pixlies X, Maurice decided to calm down and not be as involved in the politics anymore. He created Spain and was it's only President, having been elected unanimously and for a second time by a 70% majority after he, as he claims, "forgot" to put Birb onto the ballot.
