He is one of the most influencial players in that season and remained influencial through-out the following two seasons. He's famous for making his states Republics rather than the usual dictatorships and monarchies.

Maurice is a self-described social-democrat and advocate of human rights and freedoms. He's best friends with angryfishstick1, their friendship having expanded beyond Pixlies.

Maurice's first nation, the Republic of Oregon, first put him on the world-stage. In his time on Pixlies, he made a lot of nations: Oregon, Massachusetts-Philippines, Virginia, the United States, Prussia and Québec in Remastered, France in Pixlies V and Spain in Pixlies X.
