The United Counties of Nevada (nɪˈvædə), more commonly known as Nevada, was a nation in Pixlies Remastered. On 3 February 2021, Nevada merged with Scandinavia, and on 9 April 2021 the nation's name was changed to the United Counties of Nevada and Scandinavia.

History

Pre-Season

On 24 November 2020, almost a month before Pixlies Remastered was released, angryfishstick1 started shitposting about Nevada in #community-polls in the Pixlies Discord server. This made many people think that Nevada was "cringe", so in order to prove that Nevada was not cringe, angryfishstick1 decided to make the nation of Nevada ingame for the sole purpose of getting the :flag_nv: emoji added to the Pixlies Discord server.

Early Season

Nevada started out in Carson City, then expanded into Las Vegas, Sacramento, and San Francisco. The last core chunks to be claimed were in the northeastern desert of Nevada. Nevada became strong allies with Maurice's Oregon and Scandinavia, eventually merging with Scandinavia and claiming Oregon after Matt's Oregon disbanded. Nevada became the first nation to reach the Modern and Future eras. The Ender Dragon was also defeated by both Nevada and the British Empire, but Nevada took the Dragon Egg. On 28 December 2020 Nevada joined their ally, the American Empire, in a defensive war against the Umayyad Caliphate. The Umayyad Caliphate won the war, but Nevada was not punished because they only joined as an ally.

War With the Umayyad Caliphate

On 29 December 2020, the Umayyad Caliphate started justifying a war goal against Nevada. They claim that they justified because Nevada joined the American Empire in the last war. The British Empire had promised that they wouldn't join a war against Nevada, but they joined the Umayyad Caliphate in the war anyway. Nevada and its allies had 13 people, and the Umayyad Caliphate and its allies had 6 people. Nevada had far less equipment and less skilled soldiers compared to the Umayyad Caliphate. So, after around 30-45 minutes, Nevada and its allies lost the war. A large amount of Nevada's land was taken by the Umayyad Caliphate and British Empire. Most of California was taken, including Los Angeles, Sacramento, and San Francisco. But most importantly, Carson City and Reno were taken.

Mid-Season

On 3 January 2021, after the British Empire merged into the Umayyad Caliphate, the Umayyad Caliphate disbanded and the land Nevada lost after the war was taken back. On 3 February 2021, Nevada merged with Scandinavia. The first gubernatorial ("presidential" after 9 April 2021) election was held on 7 April 2021. It lasted until 10 April 2021. The three candidates were angryfishstick1 (Democratic Party), Skulli (Republican Party), and Adelie (Republican Party). angryfishstick1 won the election. On 8 April 2021, a constitution was approved. The nation was renamed to the United Counties of Nevada and Scandinavia months after they merged, on 9 April 2021.

Late Season

One of the rewards for the player with the most kills in the Pixlies World War was to get a custom emoji added to the Pixlies Discord server. A Nevadan didn't win this prize, but, Didas let angryfishstick1 choose the emoji to be added. So, on 15 May 2021, almost five months after Nevada was created, its goal was finally achieved. :flag_nv: was added to the Pixlies Discord server.
