The Nordic Empire - Troll Empire War was a conflict in Pixlies X Beta that was situated west of the Nordic Empire's capital of Helsinki.
Prelude to the conflict[edit | edit source]
The conflict began about 4 days before the battle at Helsinki took place. The argument was originally over the internal conflict in the Central Powers alliance against a member (Zyrbs) that was in, at the time, an independent Bavaria. Leaders that were in the Central Powers began to attack Zyrbs under the pretence that unless Bavaria removed the member, they could not be in the Central Powers faction. Another member of the Central Powers, waeo, went off with Zyrbs to form a newly independent nation in the Netherlands, now known today as the Troll Empire. The Nordic Empire decided to take the lead on this perceived violation against the alliance.
The first skirmish[edit | edit source]
The first skirmish of the war began south of the real world nation of the Netherlands and just west of Luxembourg, in a one-chunk claim made by the Nordic Empire along the border of the Troll Empire. The skirmish had 5 people on the side of the Nordic Empire and 2 on the side of the Troll Empire. The skirmish resulted in only 1 casualty on the side of the Nordic Empire. Beyond that, nothing resulted from this skirmish. The Troll Empire declared this as a perceived threat towards their nation.
The Baltic Sea Dispute[edit | edit source]
2 days out from the main conflict, the Troll Empire proceeded to claim multiple islands in the Baltic Sea including the Aland islands, Bornholm island, and Gotland island. This increased tensions between the two powers, leading to yet another skirmish in a highly unexpected and unorthodox place: Africa.
The African Vikings[edit | edit source]
A skirmish in Africa was planned against the Troll Empire and the Nordic Empire in unclaimed African territory, presumably to avoid the justification cost of an actual war at the time and to ensure both sides wouldn't be completely crushed from the conflict. The Nordic Empire side had about 7 people at the start, however, due to delays, had multiple players leave. The Troll Empire showed up with 3 people. The Nordic Empire forces were decisively crushed at this skirmish, resulting in the Troll Empire being ceded a treaty port beside Helsinki, where the future conflict would take place.
The dispute of mainland Europe[edit | edit source]
A dispute was caused when, late one night, the Nordic Empire claimed the majority of real-world Germany after merging with Bavaria and Denmark. This was under the pretence of having a land passageway between Denmark and Bavaria. The Troll Empire declared this a violation against their perceived claims on the land. This resulted in a real war justification being made, and war being on the horizon for real.
The battle and the aftermath[edit | edit source]
In the early morning hours of October 2nd, 2021, The battle began. The underequipped, yet the determined Nordic force of 3 faced off against the equal numbered but also a better-equipped force of the Troll Empire. In the fight, Helsinki was burned to the ground, and a decisive victory for the Troll Empire was reached. Due to bugs in the war system, this sent both sides into a perpetual warfare state. It was eventually sorted out, but due to this, no peace deal was drawn up and not much happened. This did, however, cement the Troll Empire's place on the world stage.
