South Africa (Afrikaans: Suid-Afrika), officially the Republic of South Africa (Afrikaans: Republiek van Suid-Afrika), was a nation during Pixlies Remastered in southern Africa. South Africa was settled immediately on the start.
With around 4000 chunks claimed, 18 members and very inactive player-base, it was generally considered a medium to great-power by most. South Africa was closely allied with the Republic of Oregon (Remastered), the United Counties (Remastered) and the crown of Poland-Lithuania (Remastered) through the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (Remastered).
South Africa was a secular presidential republic and democratic republic, with President of South Africa Vill_vill as head of state and government. It was a member of the Atlantic Pacific Treaty Organization (Remastered), later NATO.

South Africa was founded on release day itself. South Africa participated in many wars and stayed the entire duration of Remastered, being the hegemon of Africa.
Start of South Africa[edit | edit source]
South Africa started as a mining state of the British Empire (Remastered) to setup a foothold on the Cape of Good Hope, to gain the precious and abundant resources. Having been dissatisfied by their overlord, South Africa declared independence and the Cape was subsequently occupied by the British, leaving them only Natal and Transvaal.
They joined the Umayyad Caliphate (Remastered) war of aggression against the American Empire (Remastered) led by wilburmp3.
Cape Crisis[edit | edit source]
An appeal to the newly established U.N, and following arbitration lead by TAMaurice forced the British out of South Africa due to mountain pressure of the international community. An alliance against the British was also formed between TAMaurice's Oregon, angryfishstick1's Nevada and their ally of Scandinavia lead by Duarte, the Pacific-Atlantic Organization. South Africa turned out to be a loyal ally, fighting in the British Wars of Aggression together with the United Counties (Remastered), Ancapistan (Remastered) and Iran (Remastered). In the last war, the South African alliance proved essential to winning the war after a streak of losing each war.
Egypt, New Niger, the African Union and the United States[edit | edit source]
Having proven itself to the international community, South Africa set it's sights on Egypt and through a war and espionage managed to full-annex it, creating the African Union. The integration of the Kingdom of New Niger in Libya into said Union turned out to be a major mistake. The nuclear bombing of the South African Ally, the United States (Remastered) led by TAMaurice, provoked by a military uprising during which Vill_vill lost control of the military and nation as a whole, caused massive upheaval and resistance in South Africa. The ursuper MunchyGamerz then proclaimed the end of the African Union and start of the African Kingdoms.
The end of the African Kingdoms; Return of South Africa[edit | edit source]
The War of the Historia Coalition (Remastered) was the turning point, due to MunchyGamerz, the ursuper, sent an ultimatum to Historia which was responded to by the formation of a giant coalition made up of Historia, dissidents of South Africa, Egypt and Libya, throne pretenders and support by the Great-Power of Poland-Lithuania (Remastered) through TAMaurice. The coalition succeded in the goal and dismantled the African Kingdoms, granting Egyptian and Libyan Independence aswell as restoration of the Republic of South Africa with Vill_vill back in charge.

The Republic of South Africa is a democratic republic, with elected head of state and without parliament.
The executive branch consisted of a Council of Ministers presided over by the President.
